For over Thirty five years, The Drain Man Inc. has been serving the GTA with honesty and integrity.

A family owned and operated business, our goal is to run a company the old fashion way.

When we say “family owned and operated”, this is not a sales pitch. Bill Barber is a hands-on owner that is routinely involved at the excavation and waterproofing jobsites. His son, John, is the office manager. His daughter, Shawna, works in the head office. His son in-law, Brian, works as one of our servicemen. We believe in valuable employees that see our company as a career choice not a stepping stone. Thus, our longest serving employee, Mike, has been with our company for over 22 years.

We run our business with nothing to hide.

As a customer with a problem, you need to know the solutions and what is it going to cost. Our job as your contractor is to deliver these answers to you clearly and honestly with no hidden surprises. We tell you our rates up front not at the front door. If you need a quote for extensive work, our staff will gladly accommodate your needs.

We do not believe in deposits. A successful company shouldn’t need your money upfront before starting. The customer pays when we have completed everything that we promised to do.

We do not believe in misleading customers to obtain their business. Our company relies on customer and contractor referrals in the GTA. Therefore our honesty and integrity has to remain at the top of the trades.

We do not believe in gimmicks or fluff, misleading advertising, deception, misleading coupon specials and promises or guarantees guarded by a giant asterisk. We do not pay to have awards listed on our website.

We do not believe in endlessly slandering the competition in hopes of creating a monopoly. Our owner and employees do not run our company by running our competitors down.

Burst pipes, blocked up drains, or wet basement walls are very stressful problems to deal with. Hiring a contractor to fix them shouldn’t be just as big a problem. So give us a call. You’ll see that old fashion tradesmen do still exist.
